eBAU. Art Dreams for the New European Bauhaus
The New European Bauhaus is an initiative launched by the European Commission that aims to connect the European Green Deal with the worlds of art, culture, social inclusion and science. The aim is to promote a more sustainable lifestyle through a new aesthetic that integrates intelligent design and technological innovation, making living spaces more accessible and sustainable. The project encourages collaboration between architects, artists, scientists and citizens to create a new vision of urban and social development.
The ‘eBAU’ project questions and invites reflection on what art could mean for the European Bauhaus and what contribution artists could make in the creation of a new school. A school that aims to invent a new, green, sustainable and fair aesthetics to build a better world.
The dialogue with artist Roberto Paci Dalò, supported by the exhibition focus, will lead to the discovery of texts and drawings that offer insights and stimuli, ready to suggest new realities yet to be invented.
The artist Roberto Paci Dalò is known for his multidisciplinary work that embraces music, theatre, visual arts and writing. Born in Rimini, he studied music and visual arts in Ravenna and Fiesole, developing a career that has led him to collaborate with cultural and artistic institutions around the world. Roberto is appreciated for his ability to combine different art forms and for his commitment to artistic experimentation and innovation. His projects often explore themes related to memory, the archive, interactions between art, science and nature, media dramaturgy, and constructions of sensory devices for the exploration of trance and altered states.
The presentation will be introduced by ‘Sewborn’, a site-specific concert realised in collaboration with Born in Berlin, a craft workshop in Turin specialising in alternative fashion, where everything is created by hand and made to measure, and which will host the event. The concert will be broadcast live on Usmaradio (usmaradio.org)
The exhibition focus will be set up by Progetti Specifici.
